Global Issues Like Russia-Ukraine War, Covid Pandemic Make It Imp For Nation To Be Self-Reliant, says PM Modi

<p><strong>New Delhi: </strong>Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Sunday that global challenges like the Russia-Ukraine conflict and the Covid-19 pandemic make it all the more crucial for India to become self-sufficient, and urged people to promote Indian products.</p> <p>PM Modi was speaking at a launch ceremony for six volumes of 'Shri Dharmajeevan Gatha,' a biographical book on the life of Swaminarayan Gurukul Vishwavidya Pratishthanam's Gurudev Shastriji Maharaj (SGVP), news agency PTI reported.</p> <p>The Prime Minister said his slogan,'sabka saath, sabka vikas, sabka vishwaas,' was inspired by Shastriji Maharaj's call for 'sarvjan hitay (everyone's welfare),' and that the book, written by the latter's disciple, Madhavpriyadasji Swami, will serve as an inspiration for readers through his life and teachings.</p> <p>"Looking at the condition of the world today, everybody is facing new challenges. We experienced coronavirus, and now the Ukraine-Russia war. In today's world, it is difficult to estimate when and what will happen, and how it will affect us," PM Modi was quoted by PTI in its report. </p> <p>Modi emphasised the significance of 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat' and encouraged everyone involved with SGVP to promote it, saying that the globe has become so tiny that a country cannot stay unaffected (by events).</p> <p>He asked them to be "vocal for local," saying that doing so would create jobs and strengthen the country.</p> <p>The Prime Minister urged SGVP members to support the Clean India campaign and promote natural farming as a means to help Mother Nature.</p> <p>"Shastriji Swami's life was one of dedication, and he lives among his followers in his divine form. The books on his life, authored by his disciple Madhavpriyadasji Swami, will help recall his words and inspire the readers to act as per his teachings," the PM said.</p> <p>The six-volume, over-four-thousand-page 'Shri Dharmajeevan Gatha' was inaugurated in a magnificent ceremony by 108 delegates.</p> <p>It covers Gurudev Shashriji Maharaj's life and activities as the originator of the Gurukul-style education system, as well as the history of Swaminarayan Gurukul Vishwavidya Pratishthanam (SGVP).</p> <p>Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, former state minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama, and Union minister Prashottam Rupala, as well as former Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court DN Patel, were all present at the event.</p> <p><em><strong>(With PTI Inputs)</strong></em></p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
