'Check Facts Before Tweeting': AAP MLA Atishi Responds To Kerala Minister Over 'Officials' Visit To Delhi School

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>New Delhi: </strong>The Delhi education model row has taken another turn as AAP MLA Atishi responded to Kerala Education Minister V Sivankutty that he should check his facts before tweeting anything as she never said that Kerala government officials visited Delhi. She also shared the official press release of the Delhi government which specified the officials as &ldquo;dignitaries&rdquo; and &ldquo;educationists&rdquo;.</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The row was sparked when Atishi, on Saturday, tweeted that the Delhi government hosted some officials from Kerala who visited a school in Kalkaji to understand the Delhi education model.&nbsp;</span></p> <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"> <p dir="ltr" lang="en">Dear Sivankutty ji, It would have been good if you had done a fact check before tweeting on this issue. He also questioned that he would like to know which officials visited Delhi.&nbsp;</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">&ldquo;Kerala&rsquo;s Dept of Education has not sent anyone to learn about the &lsquo;Delhi Model&rsquo;. You might want to have a look at our press release to see what we actually said!&rdquo; she wrote.</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">&ldquo;The dignitaries visited one 'Connected Classroom', a STEM lab, and a library of the school. They said, "The facilities provided to the students of Delhi were truly world class. We didn't expect the facilities to be this good in the schools." The officials were also interested in seeing first-hand the widely-hailed Happiness and Mindfulness classes being run in Delhi Government Schools and were left thoroughly impressed by the atmosphere and participation,&rdquo; the press release by the Delhi government read.&nbsp;</span></p>
